“VMAs” Returns to Los Angeles for the First Time Since 2017

WATCH: OMG! Happens on the VMAs! 

The 2026 MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS (“VMAs”) returns to the West Coast for the first time since 2017, broadcasting live from Peacock Theater at L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles on Sunday, Sept. 27 (7:30-9:30 PM, ET/ 4:30-6:30 PM, PT) on CBS Television Network, simulcast on MTV and stream live on Paramount+* in the U.S. The show will also be available globally the next day on Paramount+ and MTV.

• To apply for 2026 “VMAs” Press Credentials, fill out the application HERE no later than Friday. Aug. 21, 2026 @ 8PM ET / 5PM PT. *Please note that submitting an application does NOT guarantee approval.

*Paramount+ Premium subscribers will have access to stream live via the live feed of their local CBS affiliate on the service as well as on demand. Essential-tier subscribers will have access to on-demand the day after the special airs.
