t’s the kind of show that sneaks up on you, one moment you’re laughing out loud, and the next, you’re realizing just how cleverly it’s holding up a mirror to the everyday chaos of hospital life. It has a witty, satirical feel that can have us both laughing and thinking at the same time, striking that perfect balance between humor and honesty.
While every visit at St. Denis Medical allows us to get “treatment,” we also get to meet the doctors and nurses in a way that feels personal, layered, and unexpectedly relatable. It’s not just about what happens in the hospital, it’s about who these people are when the scrubs come off (emotionally, at least).
Arguably, there was a standout duo, or who I’d like to call the “dynamic duo”. Matt (Mekki Leeper) and Serena (Kahyun Kim). Matt, a socially awkward, naive nurse, and Serena, who’s outspoken and witty, both blend together their creative genius to give us our newest, surprising on-screen romance, one that feels as unexpected as it is undeniable. Their chemistry doesn’t just work, it lingers, building in the kind of slow-burn way that keeps you watching just a little bit closer.
